Migration risks
The dangerous failures are often the ones that look successful.
The main migration risk is false confidence: a workflow may import while a step, credential, branch, transformation, timing assumption, or expected output is still wrong. Movetali treats these as explicit gates instead of assuming import success equals production readiness.
Checked 2026-10-01 · This page describes Movetali's current supported process. It does not claim that every workflow is migratable.
Silent coverage gaps
- Every source step must have an explicit mapping state.
- Unknown or unsupported behavior becomes a visible blocker.
- No step is allowed to disappear silently.
Credential and production risk
- Secrets are excluded from migration evidence.
- Production credentials remain under customer control and are rebound in the target n8n environment.
- Production cutover is not automatic.
False readiness
- The candidate stays inactive until verification evidence exists.
- Expected-output parity is required before human approval.
- Rollback guidance is prepared before cutover-ready status.
Post-cutover risk
- Failures can begin after an apparently clean migration.
- Monitoring exists to surface failure, repeated failure, stale expected runs, and abnormal latency where supported.
- Incident history should remain measurable instead of relying on memory.
